Comments: The Healthy Survivor is an 8-week program for cancer patients who have completed their initial treatments. Each of the eight classes will meet for 2 hours at the Council Bluffs Senior Center one time per week. The three components of the program are physical fitness, nutrition, and emotional coping skills. Classes are taught by Physical Therapists, Reigstered Dietitians, and Licensed Counselors. Each class will include all three components with both education and practice elements.

Comments: This program is designed to help participants reframe the often negative experience of illness into personal growth and emotional well being. Renewing Life is to be used in conjunction with medical care. It can be helpful for family members as well as people with illness. This series will be offered as an 8 week program in the spring and fall. Call us for more information or to pre-register.
